A game with team CCAG

wow! surprise-surprise! what do you know? there is a playing site near my home which i knew just recently. how near? just a walking distance from our house... say 7 - 10 minutes walk? hehehe. that's beacause it is within the subdivision where i live!

it's a good thing i was able to glance upon the invite of sgt.rock (reggie) of team CCAG at the FAS forum. it says there, "new playing site near fairview" and upon inquiring about it, i found out it is a really "near" place! no long travel! no traffic! no worries on check points! no hussle! really convenient! and what's more? the team hosting the site is a very accomodating team, they are a team who doesn't believe that fire-power can do the trick but more of strategies. no wonder they bagged the first runner-up place in the recent Kalis VI. hooah!

and guess who came along to play with me?

my younger brother bhing. he enjoyed it a lot and it is definite that he will play again soon.

ND2 Timberland Hts. 1028_06

Once again the hills of Timberland Heights became a witness of yet another epic encounter between an unstoppable force and an immovable object. More than 400 participants, at least 30 AS teams, 12 hours of non-stop combat, 2 warring factions, 1 single goal - to overrun each other. Night Dagger 2.

"It’s been a long war so far and I made it through hell and back.
With almost no food or water left, I met up with the rest of the squad.
There’s no way I survived this long out of pure skill.
It’s been luck all the way.

Now we make our final move to try and stop the enemy.
I may not comeback from this one, but it’s been good so far...
and I am not going to let anything stand in the way...
not even my pride.

It’s the same old story all throughout...
but this time it’s going to end." ***

UP DMZ 1016_06

Guess who showed up for a Sunday game at the DMZ - NIKKO, BETTINA, MAC and JAY!

It's a good thing I did not go home when it rained that afternoon in UP, or else I would have missed my friends who surpringly made a trip to DMZ. It became a really fun filled afternoon and really made my BDAY-GAME complete.

Went to watch Kalis6, dubbed as "Furies" in the Army Adventure Zone in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig last Saturday just to take a glimpse of what maybe the biggest airsoft event of the year. I went there to participate as an expectator hehehe... well, went there for the goodies too... wow all at discounted prices! I was able to meet two of my old friends during the event - Jeff aka AFPMCboy of GSG9 and the man himself - Anthony aka SAX of team OZ who by the way is the team who run away with the K6 championship. Congratulations to team Omega Zone!

UP DMZ 0924_06

Games had to be moved from the Vanguard compound to the UP College of Fine Arts area due to numerous activities happening at the school ground that day. There was the Alumni Homecoming plus the sportfest activity at Vanguard and at the same time UAAP games are being held just accross the vicinity. Needless to say, we have to vacate the DMZ of any airsoft activities. The organizer, the SOE Force1, and a very good organizer they are, remedied the problem and were able to negotiate a place for the airsoft games - the UP College of Fine Arts compound.

As always, games at DMZ are fast, fun and friendly. A little CQB and open field skirmishes was the order of the day. G-man and Sharpnel of Combat Team Omega (CTO) provided some photo-ops.

And from my camera, that's me with my co-redteam players Jeff and Jimmy

UP DMZ 0910_06

Behind Enemy Lines

Game scenario is “attack & defend”. The group I am with is to defend and secure a 40ft. tower and prevent the attacking forces, a twelve-member assault group, from over running the said fortress. We are 8 in the squad, one, a sniper manning the top of the tower, five scattered below within the immediate vicinity of the tower, while me and a buddy is in the forward area of the tower to offer a first line of defense for the group. Two minutes into the game and I got a visual on three tangos on my twelve o'clock. I notify my buddy who is ten meters behind my back on my intention of sneaking near the enemy's position. After a go signal from my buddy, I crawled my way to my intended position which is about 50 meters of my nearest enemy. My buddy is poist to attack but decided not to as to not compromise his position early in the game. Now I am well under the shooting range of my M4 and also within the area of my enemy. The elements of surprise is still with me and three targets grouped together is literally an easy picking. Slowly, I squared off to get a shot but before I could acquire my target in my scope, bb's came flying towards my right side hitting me. Immediately I acknowledge the fact that I am hit by standing up and raising my weapon up in the air. My opponent in my far front was surprised to see me coming out. I walk toward one of the game marshalls who then asked which of my opponent got me? I told the marshall not them, pointing at my former targets, they did not fire a shot. Definitely not their teamates co'z they are too far from me to score a hit. Who then? Who else but our sniper on top. He waived at me after I stood up. SInce I am already in the enemy teritory, he must have tought I am one of enemy. e. e. e.

UP DMZ 0826_06

Panoramic view of UP DMZ's skirmish place#1, lots of tires to hide at and the grasses are ideal for crawling around.

After emptying my magazines in a game, I needed to load up for the next game. Ammo? Nope, I mean FOOD! Got hungry.

UP DMZ 0820_06

Matthew with Team Ghost of Makati during an AS game at UP DMZ sponsored by Team SOE F-1. This is Matthew's sneak peek of airsoft this is also my commander's first glimpse of actual AS play. Both of them enjoyed the scene specially Irene who I think is more excited than Matthew. hehehe. She was ecstatic upon seing bb's flying in all places and players scampering for cover.

No-Show

Letting go of my hesitations, I braved the rain last Sunday afternoon to play AS on a new gamesite in Novaliches - Team Arrow's GS (generic name muna,no name yet for the site). This was once a big compound (it still is) housing the shoe maker giant Rubber World Philippines. Well my excitement was short lived due to the fact that just as I arrived at the gamesite a convoy of five cars were on its way out, and passing by, one of the guy in his car stop to tell me that game is cancelled and they'll be moving to UP Arbo. Wow! All the while I just got a text message from a certain Baurtwell that game is a "go" this afternoon. By the way he (Baurtwell) was the one who posted an invite at FAS for an AS game in RubberWorld. I told my co-players that I'll just hang a bit at the site to scout the place just to accomplish something worthwhile since I am already there. After roaming the place for a couple of minutes I decided to send a text message to Baurtwell to inform him that the game was cancelled. I got a quick reply. You know what his reply was?

"Sir, ganun ba?"

What the #$%*!!! He wasn't even there to oversee the event and he invited players to a game that I think he has no intention of participating in. Not good! Not good at all.

UP Arbo 0806-06

I finally made it to UP Arbo.

After so much thinking and failed attempts I am finally here.
Game host was Team OB/SD1 and the number of participants, almost a hundred (my wild guess based on the cars parked going inside UP Arbo and the cars lined on the service road beside the staging place itself) wow! That much but no TMS around. Kazmot of Team SOE was there pero lonewolf din siya, hehehe. Unfortunately we didn’t belong to the same team, I was deployed to Team A and Kazmot to Team B.

The staging place was so huge that it accomodated that much participants... sandamakmak ang superman at zombies na nakilaro , but then there is always that honest to goodness players na ideal to exchange bb's with... sino kaya yung mga yun? hehehe. But what I really miss during this times are my teamates. So hard to blend in to other team’s type of game more so when no strategy exist. Ang hirap ng lonewolf.

Hmmm... Come to think of it, so many participants attended the said game, and games are conducted almost everyweekend. And the place not like the Steel Mill which is cement and steel, UP Arbo is a living thing. Life is abundant in this place and are diverse. We run, we crawl, shoot bb’s at each other and we hit more than our opponents. Plants and other living things I am sure takes some significant hits also. The place is nice for game plays that I am sure but then again are we not disrupting the ecosystem of the place? Are we not destroying the place... slowly? I never wanted to see the sports I learned to love is the one to destroy the place I care. This is not good for the airsoft community. I just hope that players would be more mindful and more responsible when playing here. And I just hope that a part of the game fee we pay lands for the maintenance of the place, a significant amount that is.

Me and Clancy

I really wanted to take pictures of my choco labrador retriever - Clancy outdoors and solo, but bad weather prevented me from doing so and I got a little creative... the result, parang meron SAF security yung bahay namin sa Sierra Madre. hehehe.

Hidden

Rainy Sunday morning... can't play airsoft. Sayang naman maaga ako gumising then itutulog ko lang ulit... tsk...tsk...tsk.
So I decided to do some photo-ops... inside our base... my Commander doesn't know a thing... so far. Took me around 30 shots... 4 of which dead-zero. Here are two of them... enjoy.

Han "SOLO"

Again I played as a lonewolf.

I am suppose to play in UP Arbo for a sunday game but saturday is raining really hard with no chance for the weather to get better. I figured out UP Arbo would be wet and muddy come Sunday, so instead, decided to play at the Mill for a Saturday game since games are played in the Mill rain or shine. The game master for that day was Controller of Team Cougar. Team participants were R-TAC and Team F with some lonewolves in hand that included me. hehehe.

Almost 16 lang yata kami naglaro pero grabe... fast and furious ang games kaya OKEY!!! I even scored two hits on their sniper in two separate games.... Sir Controller.... sensya na po.... tsamba. hehehe
